The Roadrunners are having a busy summer at school! In social studies we have been studying maps. They did map stations to learn how to read grids, maps, and learn about different parts of maps.

The Roadrunners have also been reading with the Kangaroos on Thursdays, as a part of our summer reading program! The students look forward to reading to the younger classes every week! They get to mark down a box on their summer reading card for reading to others!

We start our mornings out with a math review warm-up on the board. We have students come up to the board to "teach" us how to solve the equations!

We also have lots of partner games in math.

Math sharks are great for keeping their skills sharp in multiplication, addition, subtraction, and fractions!

When it is hot outside, we like to think of something that cools us off: ice cream! We wrote about our favorite ice cream flavor and put it in a graph. Class favorite: Mint Chocolate Chip!
In science we have just begun research on our habitat projects. Stay tuned for more information and pictures! The zoo field trip is next Friday! Please watch for a note going home in lunchboxes next week!
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

Your Teacher,
Ms Scuderi
